I posted this video on Facebook and was quite irked at the dearth of comments or likes. IT IS AMAZING! I mean really, it has everything – cute gays, Paris, fierce shoes, hot moves, Spice Girls music, a dog, a guy dressed as a dog. It’s fantastic!
Et aussi, le mec avec la barbe et le “high and tight” est mon nouveau petit ami imaginaire…
And I have to say, watching the teaser for it just reminded me once again of seeing her on the Confessions tour a couple of years ago. I don’t care if she barely sang one note – the whole show was amazing. The sets, the costumes, the extraordinarily fetching male dancers, the giant LCD screens that moved and rotated, the video intros, etc. PLUS SHE OPENED BY EMERGING FROM A GIANT DISCO BALL DRESSED IN BONDAGE EQUESTRIENNE TOGS! Seriously, take a moment to check out that get-up she’s wearing. I’m sorry, but fierce doesn’t even begin to describe it. It is sublime.
Of course, I remember saying at the time, as I was kvelling about how this was probably the most amazing concert I’d ever seen, how can she top this? And poor thing couldn’t – The Sticky and Sweet tour sucked balls. And not in the good way.
But just for a flavor of what it was like to see that bitch appear in that disco ball, please enjoy this homemade video of a gay totally gaying out. This is exactly what it was like in person, I shit you not.
Posh and Becks don’t spend a lot of time on my radar – though he is quite the looker, especially sans chemise. But here they are at the royal wedding. He looks handsome as ever. But goddamn! Victoria Beckham is fierce. That hot mess is six months pregnant, looking gorgeous and sashaying on into Westminster Abbey in her six-inch Louboutin pumps. The dress? Perfection. The hat? Sublime. The shoes? THE SHOES! I am literally swooning with delight…
And as long as we’re discussing the wedding and hot messes and their hats, Princess Beatrice wins by a mile. Seriously. Love this so much.
Cher’s latest (and aptly-named) single “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me”, from the critically-acclaimed box-office smash Burlesque (eh, you can’t win ’em all – not even Cher), captures the No. 1 spot in the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart. She becomes the first artist with a No. 1 single in each of the last six decades.
In fitting Cher style, she tells Billboard, “How can it be six decades when I’m only four decades?”
This is some straight-up fierceness. And the song is pretty good too.
